Just a heads up, as I am paying for a website to be hosted already I'm not really able to pay for an lj account on top of that and it looks like LJ is getting rid of the old Basic accounts and bringing in a new account (same name) with advertising. As I do not want to be associated with any products I have not endorsed I will probbaly transfer my journal to my site.
Pity, I have a love hate relationship with the online community in places like LJ. But we are living in a world where change happens more frequently than in previous generations. So shifting away probably isn't such a big deal. I'll save all my old entries and decide where to go from there. I mean heck, new forums crop up all the time, I'm not on the same ones I was four years ago after all ;)
